Longford Women’s Link (LWL) is an organisation based in Longford Town which focuses on identifying and addressing key inequalities that prevent women in Longford achieving their full social and economic potential. Catkins Nursery is a community childcare service that operates within LWL and now wishes to recruit for the position of Play Leader
Play Leader
Department/Room: Junior Pre-School Room, Catkin’s Nursery
Report To: Childcare Manager
Job Purpose: Responsible for the smooth day‐to‐day running of the Junior Pre-School Room, Curriculum planning, Health and Safety and responsible for supervision of Childcare Assistants.
Experience, Knowledge and Qualifications required:
Qualifications: Have a minimum FETAC level 6 Childcare Award or equivalent (Consideration will be given to candidates who are nearing completion of their Level 6 Award and who have completed a full Level 5 Award in Childcare)
Have up to date First Aid.
Experience 3 years childcare experience
Previous experience in staff management
Knowledge Knowledge of the childcare sector
Knowledge of the required Health & Safety and Policy & Procedures standards in a pre-school setting
Knowledge of Preschool Regulations 2006
Knowledge of Siolta and Aistear an advantage.
This is an annual contract, renewable subject to funding.
